A computer "driver" is a small program that instructs the operating system on the best method for talking to a particular piece of hardware. Drivers are so named because they allow the operating system to "drive" individual pieces of hardware on the machine. If your computer currently has no drivers installed, fear not--you can still safely install Windows XP to your machine as Windows XP contains all the drivers you will need to get your computer up and running.
