Arrow How to Update Your Drivers - Getting Started!
Welcome to OfficialDriverForum.com. If you are here, you most likely experiencing some type of driver error with your hardware (printer, monitor, sound card, video card, etc...) and your finding that it isn't functioning properly.

Official Driver Forum lists where to find the driver downloads you need to update the device drivers on your computer. By updating your drivers to the latest version, you will usually be able to solve your any problems you may be experiencing.

We have forums for many device manufacturers so you can easily find drivers quickly. Within each forum, you will find a sticky post with details on where and how to get the drivers relating to that manufacturer.

Most device manufacturers have a official drivers in their support section, while others include it in the downloads section. Almost all manufacturers take good care of their database and make it as accessible as possible.

Some however and unfortunately for their customers, have poorly driver and support sections of their websites making it very frustrating and almost impossible to find the driver you need.

We guess they want to spend time getting selling their products and not bother so much with after sales support. It costs them money to maintain their websites, and after sales support adds little value to their bottom line.

If you can’t find the right driver on your devices manufacturers website, you can try automated driver update software, such as Driver Detective.

What are Automated Driver Software?

Automated driver software are third party software companies who keep a database of manufacturers drivers. Their software is designed to scan you computer for your devices, identify the device and recommend driver updates based on the latest drivers available for you computer. These automated driver software packages provide a free scan and identification of your devices and driver updates but you will need to buy a full license to complete the installation process.

Are they worth it?

Well, this is what we think.

It depends. How much do you value your time, how technical are you and if you would rather spend the money on software rather that scouring support sites for the right driver. All in all - it’s a personal preference.

In most cases, it is quick & easy to find the drivers you need on the manufacturers support section. Just go there, download, install. Easy as pie.

However, in other cases, such as older devices, unusable driver support sections, or simply not being able to find the driver you need listed, and it quickly may become a pain in the ass.

If you can’t find your driver using then try an automated driver software free scan to see if it does identify your driver. If it doesn't identify the driver you need, then there's nothing more for you to do as their database doesn't have it or the software can't identify your device correctly. You can now uninstall the software as it's now useless.

If it does find the driver you need, you can install it but you will need to pay for a license to install them usually around $39 with driver 1 year of driver updates. If you have problems using the software, you can contact their support for help.

If your not happy with the software, they usually come with a money back guarantee to you can always get your money back!
