I have had my Acer Aspire for a little over a year and somehow I have lost the DVD/CD hardware? I have done everything that I know to find it and it doesn't even show up in my Computer when I look as a hardware component. I really need some help here. I haven't ask for any help since I had it because I could always figure it out. But, Now without the DVD/CD showing up or being recognized the computer is basically useless to me. Please help.

The best place to start is the Acer support website. Without knowing exactly which Acer Aspire you have, it's hard for us to find it on their website. Visit the Acer Support link, and look for your model
Acer. From there you may be able to find the original software that provides the drivers you need.
